Texas-Mexico Frozen Food Council Announces Annual Frozen Food Fiesta to be held in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
MCLEAN, VA—The Texas-Mexico Frozen Food Council today announced the 24th annual Frozen Food Fiesta will be held May 7-9, 2009, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The Frozen Food Fiesta attracts frozen food industry professionals from the U.S., Mexico and Canada to discuss critical issues facing the industry and to conduct business meetings with one another.
For the 2009 Frozen Food Fiesta, the council has assembled an educational program to complement the conference theme: Soluciones. Presenters will discuss topics including improving efficiencies in the cross-border cold chain; promoting frozen fruits and vegetables as a means to improve the health and well-being of the people of the U.S. and Mexico; and utilizing food processing plant waste as a source of renewable energy.
“Members of our industry return to the Frozen Food Fiesta year after year, demonstrating the continued value and tradition of this event,” said Texas-Mexico Frozen Food Council Executive Director Elise Cortina. “The Fiesta is a unique venue for frozen food buyers, suppliers, processors and logistics providers to address common industry issues during discussions led by expert speakers, while also affording attendees ample opportunity to conduct business face to face.”
The three-day event will once again be held at the CasaMagna Marriott in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Delegates will have the opportunity to network with industry colleagues by participating in organized day and evening activities.
Conference information and registration materials are available at www.affi.com/fiesta, the online home of the 2009 Frozen Food Fiesta.
